DUER High Performance Composites opens its doors in South Carolina

Based in Hardeeville, S.C., USA, DUER High Performance Composites was founded by Tauri and Chris Duer and emphasizes resin infusion, out-of-autoclave prepreg and resin film infusion.

Tauri and Chris Duer announced on Aug. 13 the opening of DUER High Performance Composites, a composites manufacturing company located in Hardeeville, S.C., USA.

The Duers, both experienced engineers, say they are excited to bring this progressive industry to South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Chris Duer is an expert in the composites industry and has experience on such projects such as the mainmast of the U.S. Navy’s newest aircraft carrier, CVN77, and Volvo Ocean Race Yachts for PUMA Ocean Racing.

DUER High Perfomance Composites focuses on projects using these same innovative, cutting-edge processes and the most advanced materials. The company uses resin infusion, out-of-autoclave prepreg and resin film infusion to fabricate components. DUER specializes in use of carbon fiber, S-glass, Innegra, aramids, Nomex and aluminum honeycomb cores.

DUER High Performance Composites is located in the Hardeeville Industrial Park in a 15,000-ft2/1,394m2 facility. The facility can accommodate projects up to 100 ft/30m long. The company serves the eefense, marine, medical, industrial, transportation, automotive, architectural and alternative energy industries.
