DSM Composites, Fraunhofer form partnership

DSM Composite Resins AG (Schaffhausen, Switzerland) announced on July 14 a strategic partnership with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology (ICT, Pfinztal, Germany). The two will jointly develop new composite technologies and applications in the fields of automotive and advanced composites.

DSM Composite Resins AG (Schaffhausen, Switzerland) announced on July 14 a strategic partnership with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology (ICT, Pfinztal, Germany). The two will jointly develop new composite technologies and applications in the fields of automotive and advanced composites. To facilitate the work, DSM will relocate a core team of experts from its Ludwigshafen unit to new offices at a technology park in Karlsruhe, close to the ICT. DSM also will consolidate and centralize its research and development capabilities in the company’s main R&D center in Zwolle, The Netherlands. Consequently, DSM will end operations at the Ludwigshafen site by end of this year.
