Dieffenbacher, Fraunhofer collaborate

The two companies agree to move their jointly operated technology center out of Eppingen, Germany.

As part of an effort to intensify their collaborative efforts to develop innovative reinforced polymer solutions for industry, molding machinery manufacturer Dieffenbacher GmbH & Co. KG (Eppingen, Germany) and Fraunhofer ICT (Pfinztal, Germany) have committed to relocate their jointly-operated technology center, formerly in Eppingen, to a new location. The relocated center is scheduled to open in 2010. Material and process research, product engineering and production-scale prototyping are in the works and reportedly will benefit potential customers who take advantage of the new center’s facilities to train their employees or to conduct pilot programs and/or product development efforts.
