Creative Pultrusions Inc. (CPI, Alum Bank, Pa., USA) and Ebert Composites Corp. (ECC, San Diego, Calif., USA) reported on April 15 that they have entered into a manufacturing and marketing agreement, under which CPI will house three ECC TRANSONITE production machines at its Alum Bank manufacturing facility. The TRANSONITE panel will be marketed to an array of industries where lightweight, corrosion resistant, multidirectional riberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) products are warranted.
Shane Weyant, CEO and president of CPI, states, “With the opportunity to represent and manufacture TRANSONITE panels, CPI will have vast opportunities in several markets, due to the distinct advantages that this 3-D sandwich panel offers in overall performance.”
David Johnson, CEO of ECC, says, “I echo Mr. Weyant’s comments, as multiple industries will now have available a light-weight, non-delaminating sandwich panel, with performance never before available.”
