The Longmont Times-Call (Longmont, Colo., USA) reported on March 6 that top executives from Creative Foam Corp. (Fenton, Mich.) visited the city and laid out plans for the company’s new Longmont manufacturing facility, which will open in about 90 days.

Creative Foam, which machines foam cores for use in wind blade and other applications, has leased 70,000 sq-ft/6,500 sq-m in Longmont and will employ 15 to 20 people at the facility. Longmont will be the seventh U.S. facility for Creative Foam, and the farthest west. The company reportedly picked Longmont so as to be near Vestas, which is building wind blades in nearby Windsor and Broomfield.

The Longmont facility is expected to employ about 50 people within the first year to 18 months and could increase to 150 or more people at some point.
