The Denver Business Journal (Denver, Colo., USA) reported on April 15 that core manufacturer and supplier Creative Foam Composite Systems (Fenton, Mich., USA) is moving from its current Longmont, Colo., location to an 84,524-ft2/7,853m2 heavy manufacturing building in Berthoud, Colo., to better help Vestas Wind Systems A/S (Aarhus, Denmark) with increased orders for core kits usedin its composite wind turbine blades. Vestas operates a wind blade manufacturing facility in Windsor, Colo., about 20 miles/32 km northeast of Berthoud.
The report says that Creative Foam's expansion is due primarily to more orders from Vestas, which has had a strong 2014 in terms of growth and orders for its wind turbines. According to the report, Creative Foam expects to double its employees to 60 with the expansion.
