CompositesWorld, publisher of High-Performance Composites and Composites Technology magazines and the CompositesWorld Weekly e-newsletter, will send out listing update requests to more than 2,200 composites industry suppliers this week, as preparations began for publication of the SOURCEBOOK 2011 composites industry directory, the composites industry’s largest and most useful B2B sourcing guide.
The publishers emphasize that a free directory listing is available to any company that supplies materials, machinery and other goods and/or services to composite parts manufacturers.
Suppliers listed in SOURCEBOOK 2010 should expect to find an e-mail in their inboxes with “SOURCEBOOK 2011 – Composites Industry Directory” in the subject line. The e-mail message will contain a link to the SOURCEBOOK’s online listing form, plus a company identification code and password that gives the recipient access the company’s current online listing. Once the form has been accessed, the user may correct or update company information and then verify the listing for publication in the 2011 print directory. The changes are reflected immediately in the online listing.
“The ID and password, of course, protect the company’s listing from unauthorized access, but it does more than that: If the recipient keeps the link, ID and password on file, he or she can use it anytime during the year to update the listing — as often as necessary — at no charge,” says Jeff Sloan, editor-in-chief of CW’s Composites Technology and High-Performance Composites magazines. “This permits companies to ensure their online listings reflect any changes made at the company.”
Those companies not currently listed (suppliers may check to see if their company has an existing listing by visiting www.compositesworld.com/suppliers/default.aspx) may receive a link to a new listing form by e-mailing company contact information (company name, address, phone, fax, e-mail and Web address), plus the name and e-mail address of the person who wishes to receive the link, to SOURCEBOOK managing editor Mike Musselman at email@example.com.
“We’ll send them a link to a listing within 24 hours,” says Musselman, adding, “All companies that submit a new listing for the SOURCEBOOK 2011 print version are automatically included in the online version from the time they are received and reviewed by our staff. So they need not wait until the print version is published for their listing to reach the industry."
The print version of the SOURCEBOOK mails to 30,000 subscribers of HPC and CT magazines. CW plans to mail the print version of SOURCEBOOK 2011 in November this year. Watch CW Weekly for more news on SB 2011.
