CompositesWorld, publisher of High-Performance Composites and Composites Technology magazines, has announced the 2011 Wind & Ocean Energy Seminar, April 13-14 at the Wyndham Portland Airport Hotel in South Portland, Maine, USA. 

Organized in association with the Maine Composites Alliance, the seminar will explore the market and future opportunities in wind blade and ocean energy, and will include speaker topics on technology, design and manufacturing and installation and repair.

Agenda topics include composites in wind blades, floating platforms for offshore wind systems, tidal turbine technology, small and community wind, wind blade repair, government initiatives, and an outlook of the wind energy market. Confirmed and tentative speakers will represent TPI Composites, the University of Maine, Ocean Renewable Power Co., REpower, Siemens, National Renewable Energy Lab, and others.
