Composites Horizons awarded contract for composites on Avenger UAS

Composites Horizons will manufacture a second exhaust duct for General Atomics' Predator C Avenger unmanned aircraft system.

Composites Horizons Inc. (CHI, Covina, Calif., USA), part of Hampson Aerospace, announced on Aug. 18 that it has been chosen by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA) to produce a second exhaust duct for the company's Predator C Avenger unmanned aircraft system (UAS).

CHI has been able to meet General Atomics' aggressive development schedule and has worked closely with GA engineers to develop a final product that has shown excellent performance and durability.

"We are proud that General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has found ourwork to meet its requirements to the degree that the company is entrusting us to work on multiple projects for Predator C Avenger," stated Jeff Hynes, president of CHI. "Our capability to produce cost-effective carbon composite products, such as those used in our work for GA-ASI is unmatched."
