The inaugural COMPOSITESWORLD Expo 2008, scheduled for Sept. 2-5 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Ill., is fast approaching. The show features a two-track conference Sept. 2-3, followed by the Expo, Sept. 3-5.The conference is $695 and features a beginner's track for those who are new to composites and want basic information on materials, design, tooling and processing. The second track, designed for composites industry veterans, features presentations covering simulation, fiber placement and tape laying, and other advanced materials and processes.For information on the Expo, conferences, lodging, transportation and exhibitors, visit www.compositesworldexpo.com. Hotel rooms at the Renaissance are available at a discounted rate until Aug. 15, and registration for the Expo exhibits only is free before Sept. 1. Both can be done online.
