Citadel acquires Fiberfil Engineered Plastics

Citadel Plastics Holdings (Radnor, Pa.), which owns The Matrixx Group, Aclo Compounders, and Bulk Molding Compounds Inc., announced Sept. 3 that is has completed the acquisition of the assets of Fiberfil Engineered Plastics Inc. (Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada) a thermoplastics compounder since 1952. Fiberfil was the first company to incorporate glass fiber and other reinforcements into thermoplastics. Citadel plans to transition Fiberfil’s product line to existing Citadel plants in Guelph, Ontario; Evansville, Ind.; and Houston, Texas. The Fiberfil brand and product line will be maintained. The Stoney Creek plant will be operated by the sellers through a transition arrangement during the transition period.
