Motorsports Composites Training, Abaris Training, and Finishline Advanced Composites are offering a five-day training course on carbon fiber composite manufacturing.

Motorsports Composites Training (Benicia, Calif.), in association with Abaris Training (Reno, Nev.) and Finishline Advanced Composites (Benicia, Calif.), has announced a five-day training course for carbon fiber composite manufacturing. The course is being offered in 2008 over three date spans: July 21-25, and Aug. 25-29, and Dec. 15-19 at Finishline’s manufacturing center in Benicia.

Instruction will be provided by Jay Carpenter, who has more than 20 years of experience in advanced composite prototyping, tooling and fabrication. The course curriculum includes hands-on training using what is said to be the highest quality equipment available in laboratories. Students will learn about material selection for manufacturing new parts or making repairs, working with metal and composites, resin systems, when to use substitute materials, damage assessment methods, wet repairs, layup and cure techniques, autoclave processing and more. Enrollment is now open for both courses. To register, call 800-638-8441, 925-899-9736, or visit www.m-c-t.org.
