Cambria to open new facility in North Carolina

Cambria, a maker of natural quartz surfaces, is opening a new operations facility in Charlotte, N.C.

Cambria (Minneapolis, Minn.), a producer of natural quartz surfaces, reported on Jan. 9 that it is opening a new operations facility in Charlotte, N.C. The $4 million, 50,000 ft2 facility will employ 80 people and is the sixth Cambria-owned facility in North America, with operations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ontario, Canada.

“We are excited to open a major operations center in North Carolina and to bring a significant number of new jobs to the Charlotte area,” said Tom Annexstad, Cambria’s senior vice president of residential sales. “The strong local economy makes Charlotte an ideal location for our $4 million facility and we look forward to growing Cambria’s presence throughout the Carolinas.”

Cambria Natural Quartz Surfaces are used for residential and commercial applications, including countertops, shower and tub surrounds, vanities and flooring. The new facility will also fabricate custom-made furniture tabletops, fireplace surrounds, desk tops, coffee and end table tops, wet bar areas, and window sills.
