Bombardier video hints that first flight for CS100 is close

A new Bombardier YouTube video shows first composites-intensive CS100 single-aisle jet being painted and prepared for first flight, which could come soon.

Bombardier (Montréal, Québec, Canada) has posted on its YouTube account a video of the first CS100 single-aisle aircraft being painted and prepped ahead of its first flight.

Bombardier was supposed to fly the CS100, the first plane in the composites-intensive CSeries of planes, earlier this summer, but announced a delay in July.

The video is the first sign that first flight could be close. The video shows the plane being guided into a hangar for painting, painting preparation, painting and rollout. The CS100 will seat 108-125 passengers.
