Reuters reported on Feb. 18 that Susanne Klatten, Germany's richest woman and a major shareholder of BMW Group (Munich, Germany), will become head of the supervisory board at carbon fiber manufacturer SGL Carbon (Wiesbaden, Germany).
The report says that Klatten, currently deputy chairwoman of the supervisory board, owns just less than 27 percent of SGL Carbon via the SKion GmbH holding company. Current chairman Max Dietrich Kley will vacate the role at the next annual shareholder meeting on April 30.
SGL did not comment on the report, except that the agenda for the meeting and the list of candidates for vacant board positions will be discussed March 12 at a supervisory board meeting.
