In late February, SABIC Innovative Plastics (Pittsfield, Mass.) opened a major new production line at its Chung-Ju, Korea, facility. The line will produce the company’s LNP Verton-brand long glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites. The production line will run 20 grades of the composites using a variety of resin systems, including polypropylene, polyamide and phenylpropanolamine PPA. The plant will supply the materials to the automotive, telecommunications and appliance markets in Asia.
