Formax UK Ltd. (Narborough, U.K.), a manufacturer of multiaxial reinforcements for composites applications, has increased its production capacity with the addition of another Mayer multiaxial machine, bringing the total of new machines commissioned in 2007 to three. The new machine has been customized for carbon fiber production and is being installed in the company’s specialist carbon unit. To allow for the capacity expansion, FORMAX purchased an adjoining 20,000-ft² (1,858m²) extension to the building it currently occupies at its Leicester facility, in June 2007.
