Angstron Materials appoints David Burton as executive VP

Burton has the oversight of the Dayton, Ohio-based nano graphene platelets supplier's daily operations at its headquarters and its business development and marketing functions.

David Burton has been named executive VP of Angstron Materials Inc. (Dayton, Ohio). In his new position, Burton will manage business development and marketing activities for the Americas and Europe. He will coordinate day-to-day operations at Angstron’s headquarters location in Dayton, Ohio and oversee commercialization efforts for the manufacturer’s graphene technology. Burton also will handle regulatory compliance for the company’s production operations.

Burton previously held key positions in R&D, production and quality control for nanomaterials incubator Applied Sciences (Cedarville, Ohio). He is credited with transistioning carbon nanofiber technology from the laboratory to commercial scale production and implementing a first-of-its-kind quality control program to support full-scale manufacturing.
 
Burton is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He holds five patents and contributed to more than 40 publications.
