American Colors (Sandusky, Ohio) has opened a new factory in Shanghai, China. The new plant joins an existing plant in the Shanghai Chemical Park, and doubles the company’s China-based capacity with the potential to expand by an additional 50 percent in the future. The pigment dispersions and additives company began producing in Shanghai in 2006. The grand opening celebration was held on Sept. 1 in conjunction with the China Composites Show. American Colors has U.S. manufacturing facilities in Sandusky, Ohio and Lebanon, Tenn.
