CompositesWorld, publisher of High-Performance Composites and Composites Technology magazines, has announced that the agenda is nearly complete for the Carbon Fiber 2010 conference to be held Dec. 7-9, 2010, at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines Hotel near San Diego, Calif, USA. The co-chairs for this year’s conference are Tom Haulik, carbon fiber sales manager of Hexcel, and Tom Lemire, western regional manager of Toho Tenax America.
The keynote presentation for this year’s conference, "Revolutionizing Automotive and Carbon Composite Industries," will be given by Andreas Wüllner, managing director of SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers. He will discuss the "old" world of carbon fibers and automobiles (status quo), creating a 'new' world for automitive and carbon composite industries (near future), the greening of the "new world" (sustainability), and whether or not there will be another "big bang" to revolutionize carbon fiber use (future outlook).
