Advanced Composites Group Ltd. (ACG, Heanor, U.K.), a member of the Composites Division of Umeco plc, was "onboard" in May when sailor Simon Payne picked up another victory in the run-up to the 2008 International Moth World Championships. Sailing Size Zero, the latest Prowler design of International Moth, Payne used ACG's VTM264 carbon fiber prepreg for the hull, deck, wings, hydrofoils and the rudder to minimize weight and give his craft the strength to withstand the hydrodynamic forces created by waves.
