The American Composites Manufacturing Association (ACMA) reported on Aug. 25 that it soliciting presentation and technical papers submission for COMPOSITES 2012 now through Sept. 9. COMPOSITES 2012, will be held Feb. 21-23 in Las Vegas, Nev., USA.
COMPOSITES 2012 seeks presentations on advanced materials or processes, new uses for traditional materials or processes as well as innovations and research on growth markets. Presenters are expected to explain the potential practical applications of the information they provide. While COMPOSITES 2012 is putting special emphasis on composites in power generation and automobiles, submissions in other areas are welcome. Potential topics include: aerospace, building and construction, cast polymers, green composites, high-performance composites, military applications, processing technologies plus testing and evaluations.
Technical paper abstracts and education session presentation ideas are due by Sept. 9. Technical papers will be peer-reviewed for publication in the ACMA online archive. They will also be eligible for the ACMA Technical Paper Awards.
Past educational presentation topics have included: Life cycle assessment (LCA) and life cycle inventory (LCI), robotics, tensile strength testing methods, initiatives for financing composite innovations, styrene cancer assessment and bio-based composite resins.
