Henkel Corp.’s (Madison Heights, Mich.) latest products marketed under the Frekote label include 915 WB waterborne cleaner and polish. Developed for use with large composite wind turbine blade molding tools, the cleaner uses surfactants and emulsifiers in combination with abrasives to clean molds reportedly without dulling the surface. It leaves no residue and contains 70 percent less solvent, to minimize the risk of damage to tool surfaces.
