This Carbon > Building symposium looks to gather leading companies and technical experts in
the hydrocarbon, polymer and chemical sectors to discuss the potential benefits of bringing
polymeric composites into mainstream use as a base-building and infrastructure technology.
Architects, building engineers and building code specialists will contribute their insights as to
how composites might be introduced in a much more systematic and effective manner than they
have been to date: not merely as replacement component parts for an unchanged tectonic logic,
but as holistic structure-envelope building methodologies, learning from boats, planes, cars, etc.
