Compression molding press

By Staff | February 2007

Beckwood Press Co. (St. Louis, Mo.) has introduced a new 50-ton hydraulic compression molding press made specifically to form composite fenders in the automotive industry. Engineered to the customer’s compression molding requirements with a high level of control over position and speed, the low-tonnage device accommodates a 68-inch/1.7m stroke and 78-inch by 120-inch (2m by 3m) bolsters. Its low bed height eases integration with ancillary equipment. Auxiliary hydraulic valves are provided for the activation of core punches and extruders in the custom dies.
