High-Performance Composites

With most of our business travel over till Fall and our wrap-up for the SAMPE Conferences completed (see wrap up article), the HPC staff is settled in for the summer and hard at completing some of our other projects.

A major goal was to make our Web site even more useful and easy to use. To that end, last month we changed our URL to www.compositesworld.com; creating a single address for both HPC and sister publication Composites Technology. You may want to update your bookmark.

With the push of a button, it is now possible to purchase PDFs of feature articles from both publications at our Web site. We are working on making our entire archive of stories from back issues available, as well. If you want one that is not yet available at the Web site, give us a call, and we'll make it for you (at no extra charge).

SOURCEBOOK 2004 is coming out in November - in print and online - with combined listings from both the SOURCEBOOK and CT's YellowPages directories integrated into one comprehensive product/service database. With its ability to dynamically search for specific products, companies and locations, you should be able to find exactly what you need - fast. This year, suppliers can enter new or update existing company listings online, as well, which will be faster and easier while minimizing the chance for inaccuracy.

Subscription Renewal: Its that time of year again

As part of our commitment to the composites industry, we have our circulation audited yearly by BPA International, the leading independent auditor of business publications. Every July, the entire readership of High-Performance Composites is asked to update their subscriptions. Its a simple process that works for everyone. It ensures that we are mailing your copy to the correct address and eliminates costly, useless mailing. From your answers to the questions on the subscription form, we compile demographics and watch trends, which allows us to develop relevant editorial. It's also one of the main tools our advertisers use to verify that HPC's subscribers represents the markets they want to reach. Their advertising allows us to keep delivering HPC to all of our readers free of charge.

On the outside of this issue there is a "wrap" with a message that says, "How many times do I have to fill out this form?" You will receive this message if you subscribed at anytime from July 1 of the previous year to June 30 of the current year - so you may be asked to renew in less than a full year in some rare cases ... but only once. Reading further in the form it says, " ... only once for a full 12 months, if you do it now." This is true. If you renew now, you will get no more messages until the July issue of next year. To make it as easy as possible, we provide three ways to renew. You can mail or fax the form to the addresses shown or, easiest of all, go to www.compositesworld.com.

So renew your subscription ... then sit back and enjoy your July issue. Thanks for your support and have a great summer!
